y earliest Georgia Camp family begins with John Camp married to Mary Tarpley. John's son James came to Georgia and was enumerated in the 1820 Gwinnett County Census. The Brewer family begins with the birth of Joel Brewer in 1826. At the present time we do not know his parents, but his mother was with him in the 1850 census and listed as "Susan".
