HULL Lorraine L. McRae, age 55, of Jupiter, FL, formerly of Hull, died Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at the Hospice of Palm Beach County in West Palm Beach, FL, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness. She was born in Winchester, raised and educated in Hull schools and was a graduate of Hull High School. She has lived in Jupiter, FL for two years, previously in Hull for most of her life. Lorraine was a supervisor in the retail industry. She enjoyed genealogy, especially researching her family surrounding the events of World War II. Beloved daughter of Alice (Behenna) McRae of Jupiter, FL, formerly of Hull and the late James A. McRae, Sr. Devoted sister of James A. McRae, Jr. and his wife Suzanne of Westwood, Robert D. McRae of Franklin, Kenneth E. McRae and his wife Linda of Norwood, Phillip D. McRae and his wife Kimberly of Lynnfield and Patricia A. McRae of Hull. Loving aunt of Keri McRae of Norwood, Shane McRae and Ashley McRae, both of Lynnfield. A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, Saturday, August 22nd at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Saturday 11am 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lorraines memory may be made to the Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.

DAUGHTERS. . . Let's talk about "daughters". . . Lorraine was NO exception, she was thrilled to find the 57th Bomb Wing History Team of the 321st Bomb Group. Her dad/Lt James A McRae was a commissioned Bombardier/Navigator in the 446th Bomb Squadron and she was just as happy as we were to have pictures and stories about her dad/James. As it is with a "History Team", we place everything sent and go happily on to the next Hero while we wait. . . most come back in a bit and give items or memories along the way… sometimes it come in grand spirts and other times it dribbles in.

This however was a sad - SAD discovery. Your 321st BG Team is John T Fitzgerald, Patti Johnson and myself, Barbara Connolly (319 and 321st BG Historian) and we just discovered the family of a good friend of James and went searching for Lorraine. We LOVED working with her, one of the many PROUD daughters that are so excited to see their "Daddy" come up! We admired Lorraine and this is truly a great loss. We pray the family is doing well and we are always happy to help in any way we can. God Bless you Lorraine!
