Creedence Clearwater Revival

C

reedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) began as a good, old-fashioned garage band in the late 1950s. John, Stu, and Doug recorded their first demo in ninth grade before John's brother, Tom Fogerty, joined the band in high school. After years of playing in bars and small venues, the band eventually became the most popular rock band in America. Despite their popularity, the band known as CCR never had a #1 hit single in the United States, although they did have several hits reach the Top 10 on the charts. While the band earned great success, their professional differences quickly led to dissent and by 1972 CCR was forever disbanded.
