LEWISTOWN, IL - Timothy Griffin Clark, 41, of Vermillion, S.D., formerly of Lewistown, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, in Hartington, Neb., as a result of an automobile accident.

Tim was born Jan. 14, 1967, in Columbia, Mo., to Jack and Peggy (Stephens) Clark. He married Melanee Olson on April 2, 1996, in Bozeman, Mont.

Tim graduated from Lewistown High School in 1985. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois and received a PhD from Montana State University. Tim did post-doctorate work at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis.

He was currently employed as an associate professor at the Sanford School of Medicine in Vermillion.

Tim had many interests and hobbies. In high school, he was active in band, FFA and sports. Tim's passion for life included music, hunting, fishing, photography, skiing and hiking. Tim was involved in showing dogs throughout the United States. He was also an avid Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Cardinals and a Fighting Illini fan. Hail to the Chief.

He is survived by his parents, Jack and Peggy of Lewistown; his wife, Melanee; two sons, Taylor and Tanner; and a daughter, Krystal, all of Vermillion, S.D. Also surviving are two sisters, Julie (Chuck) Hudspath of Lewistown and Jennifer (Eric) White of Forest City; and two nieces and three nephews, Emma and Caleb Hudspath and Collin, Evan and Maia White.

A celebration of Tim's life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at the Lewistown United Methodist Church in Lewistown.
