He also worked in various locations throughout Wyoming, including Buffalo, Kaycee, Sussex and Gillette. He retired in 1982. He loved Wyoming's open spaces and enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially in the Big Horn Mountains. Survivors include his children, Phyllis Cotherman, Dave and Darrel Dorman, all of Casper and Patricia Montano of Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1993, his parents, three brothers and a sister. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to the World War II Veterans Memorial Fund, in care of Hilltop National Bank, or to the American Cancer Society, local chapter. Memorial Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Added by: JeanstreehouseDave Capp Dorman CASPER - Funeral services for Dave Capp Dorman, 83, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery with interment in the cemetery, where his wife was laid to rest in 1993. Viewing is from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. He died Aug. 26, 2000, at VA Medical Center in Sheridan of cancer. He was born April 30, 1917, in Henrietta, Texas, to Ira and Willie Lee (Foreman) Dorman. He entered the U.S. Air Force in August 1942 and served with the 47th Wing, 376th Bomb Group, 515th Bomb Squadron of the 15th Air Force as a turret gunner. He was discharged in September 1945. After his discharge, he worked in the shipyards in California, where he learned to weld as an apprentice. He moved to Wyoming and established Dorman's Welding in Linch in the early 1950s. He
