CORRECT INFORMATION; # 18139457 - Forrest T Nettles was residing in Louisiana in the County of Baton Rouge and Forrest enlisted at Harding Field, Baton Rouge, Louisiana on 4 May, 1942 as a Private in the AAC / Air Corps. Forest was born in 1920 in Louisiana, is White, a Citizen and was working as a skilled Radio Operator after having completed one year of college. He was still single at enlistment. WWII A2 jacket group for Lt. Forrest T. Nettles, 12th AF, 57th Bomb Wing,321st Bomb Group, 447th Bomb Squadron, served from March to September 1944, 60 missions flown, in B-25 Mitchell's. Based at North Africa Tunisia Telergma Air Field, Italy Foggia Paestum Air Field, and Corsica Solenzara Air Field. The 12th AF and Squadron patches are Italian made. There is B1 summer cap with name and service number in cap, cap is in very good condition, flight suit in fair condition, size 44, there is six pictures, three are orignal WWII and the other three are copies. The A2 its self, which is in very good condition and a size 40, ( Note the jacket has another name on the inside, he got the jacket from a friend that was going home, Forrest name tag is on the jacket. Forrest enlisted in East Baton Rouge Louisiana on May 5, 1942 at Harding Field. (see Jacket Photo's below)
