Don served under Col John R KILLER Kane in ALASKA, from 1947-1951, Don and his family lived at Ladd AFB, Alaska, when Col Kane took over command there in 1949. Col Kane was famous for leading his B-24 Liberators out of N Africa in to the Ploesti Oil Fields in Romania.
