"And I got out with full pay and allowances, no reserve time... and honorable conditions, general discharge. It was a nice face-saving thing for all of us, and I beat them out of 11 months. I still have the little calendar page: September 26, 1957. It says, 'Hee hee hee, f*ck you, Air Force. I screwed you out of 11 months.' That's how mature I was."
