orn 7 Dec 1905 Williamsport, PA Died 13 Jul 1987 Bellmore, NY He served in the US Army from 1926-1955; retired as Chief Warrent Officer 1st Division Big Red One: 18th Infantry Regiment. He was in the 1st Infantry Division forces that stormed Omaha Beach on D Day. Cecil received many medals of honor including Silver Star, Bronze Star w/Oak-Leaf Cluster, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Army Occupation Medal (Germany and Japan), Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, and National Defense Service Medal He was buried 16 Jul 1987 at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, Sulfolk, NY. Thank you for all the years that you sacrificed for our great nation, Grandpa. Very proud of the man and the hero that you were.
