alter A Schiller was a Seaman 1C and was stationed aboard the USS Nevada at Pearl Harbor. During the Japanese attack on December 7, 1941 he was wounded 27 times and later in a dead pile for three days until a Navy Chaplain came to give the sailors their Last Rites. He saw movement in Seaman Schiller’s eyelids and got him help.
