12 of our planes went out to bomb a R.R. Bridge at Arezzo, Italy. A concentration of bombs fell east of the bridge with direct hits and near misses on the R.R. tracks on either side of the bridge. One plane failed to return. The crew members were: 2Lt. John H. Woody, Jr.; 2Lt. Francis R. Stewart; 2Lt. William A. Anderson; Staff Sergeant Clifford N. Winkle; Sgt. Gerald J. Mulick; and Sgt. James E. Ballard
