aughter of Jonathan Ayres, of Knoxville, TN, and first wife of Daniel Carmichael Chamberlain. Mary first married Daniel McCallum, Jr., in 1835. McCallum died in 1852 and, two years later, Mary wed D. C. Chamberlain. Sometime in the 1860s, Chamberlain apparently abandoned Mary and removed to Caldwell Co., TX, where he remarried.
