Services for J.O. (Jake) Williams, 56, of Hobbs, N.M., will be at 4 p.m. today in the First Presbyterian Church here, with burial in Memory Garden here under direction of the Griffin Funeral Home.

Williams was dead on arrival at Llano Estacado Medical Center here Wednesday after an apparent heart attack.

Born in Stroud, Okla., Oct. 19, 1921, he was president of Globe Construction Co. of Hobbs, at the time of his death. Williams was a Mason, and a member of the Lea County Shrine Club. He had served on the board of directors of the College of the Southwest here. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Doris; three sons, Don Williams of Colorado Springs, Colo., Guy Williams of Lbbock and Mel Williams of Albuquerque, N.M.; two brothers, Oscar Williams and Merle Williams, both of Hobbs, Ted; and a sister, Mrs. Johnson of Hobbs.
