Services for the Rev. Norman "Skip" Sirnic, 46, and Karen Sirnic, 47, of Weimar were May 20 in Weimar United Church of Christ.

A memorial services was held in Lubbock.

They died Sunday, May 16, 1999, at their residence.

Norman graduated from Friona High School in 1970, where he was class valedictorian and a state champion in UIL informative speaking. He graduated magna cum laude from Trinity University in San Antonio. He attended Vanderbilt Divinity School, and he was ordained at Bethel UCC in Houston. He was pastor of Friona's Union Congregational Church in 1977. He was a minister at the Weimar United Church of Christ for 10 years.

Karen was secretary of the Weimar United Church of Christ.

Norman's survivors include a son, Nathan of San Angelo; his father, Norman J. Sirnic of Santa Maria, Calif.; his mother and stepfather, Paul and Anna Belle Mohr of Lubbock; a brother, Mark of Englewood, Colo.; a stepbrother, Rob Mohr of Albuquerque; and a stepsister, Rebecca Gardiner of Albuquerque.

Karen's survivors include her parents, Arnold and Minnie Foltermann of Bryan; a stepson, Nathan; two brothers, Keith Foltermann of New Baden and Kirby Foltermann of College Station; and a sister, Kim Callaway of Bryan.
