Lawrence "Paul" Shellhamer; Lawrence "PAUL" is buried at Nettuno, Italy at the Florence/Rome American Cemetery. He died in a tragic and sad "bad landing" upon return from a Combat Mission, the B-25 shot-up and apparently gas was spewing everywhere. The nose wheel collapsed and the B-25 exploded upon laning at home base on the island of Corsica, France. ALL perished.

Shellhamer, Lawrence (NMI - actually, it is Paul), S/Sgt, engineer-gunner (He gave the Enlistment Board NMI (No Middle Initial), however, great-neice Jen Meagher (in Maryland) says he has one - "Paul" and his family called him Paul.

Correction We are mistaken about the photo of 'Paul' with the picture of the flag behind him. It looks to be a closer resemblance to Paul's younger brother FRANK. ***
