Charles V. "Mike" Osborne, 81, of Livermore, passed away Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002, in Loveland.

He was born May 5, 1921, in Wiggins, the son of Charles and Annie Burgess Osborne. He graduated from Wiggins High School in 1938 and then attended Colorado University for one year.

He married Vy Snyder on Nov. 25, 1951 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Greeley.

He resided in Fort Morgan for five years and in Greeley for 28 years. He was self-employed as a carpenter until moving to Greeley in 1957. He worked for Guy Parks in Fort Morgan and then went on to work for Phillips-Wheeler in Greeley. He worked for Hensel Phelps Construction in Greeley until his retirement in 1982. In 1983, Mike became a resident of Livermore.

He was a past Commander of the American Legion in Wiggins. He enjoyed fishing and bowling. His love for his work in carpentry became his primary hobby. He built furniture and designed and built five houses for his wife, Vy.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Vyetta Osborne of Livermore; four daughters, Michelle Osborne of Littleton, Terri Roark and her husband, Rick, of Longmont, Leslie For-man and her husband, Mike, of Lakewood, and Wendy Osborne of Littleton; one brother, George Osborne and his wife, Hazel, of Wayne, Pa.; three sisters, Faye Hull of Menlo Park, Calif., Annie Shoemaker of Lakewood, Wash., and Polly Miller of Winterbottom, Vt.; four grandchildren, Jessica, Nathan, Rachelle and Shaunn; and one great-grandchild, Amber.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Cecil Osborne.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002 at Allnutt Funeral Service, Drake Road Chapel.
