AUSTRALIAN SQ/LEADER KEITH M. RUNDLEAdded by: Raidco24Reported existence of the wreck of Photo Queen. Reported capture and deaths of Lt. RAFAEL and Sgt. JULIAN. Found Captain ONO, being held at Base H, by U.S. Army. His trial in Manila for murder holds no details of the last days of the Crew. He was hanged in 1946. Instead, the trial record of one Major Satoru NIIHO may contain additional evidence on the true fate of the crew. NIIHO was hanged by the Dutch in 1948.
WATCH ON THE VERKAMAdded by: Raidco24WATCH ON THE VERKAM
image.jpgAdded by: Raidco24The ALAMO, San Antonio, Texas. Symbolizes for me one possible scenario for the deaths of 4 or 5 of the crew: a pitched gunfight with Japanese troops at the mouth of the VERKAM River. Evidence for this comes from the unit diary of the 36th Japanese Division.
