illiam Park immigrated to the United States from Ireland in the mid-nineteenth century. He served as a Union Soldier in the Civil War, taking part in many important battles, including Gettysburg. He worked as a blacksmith his whole life, both in Ireland and Philadelphia. The McGrath and Hayes families, among many others, are related to him and his descendants.
