Jan. 2017; We have the following information regarding S/Sgt. Max E.Baker. He was born on 09-24-1924 in South Whitley, Whitley County, Indiana. He passed away on 02-11-2001 in Bay City, Bay County, Michigan. The maiden name of his wife was Juanita Mae Smith who was born on 01-20-1925 in Noble Township, Wabash County, Indiana. They had five children.

Max (and his wife Juanita) attended Kokomo High School, Kokomo, Indiana, in 1943. After graduating from High School, Max joined the Army of the United States and after Technical Training, Max was assigned to the 321st Bomb Group, 445th Bomb Squadron.

On 08-04-1943 (Date of Induction). His Military Occupational Specialty and Number was “A P Armorer Gunner 612”. AP ARMORER (Aircraft armory specialists)
