I'm not sure what to say other than "I love you!" Mom, Dad and you are all gone, but Nancy, Steve & I keep your memories alive in our children.
My son is so proud of his Uncle Boyd whom he never met and my Grandchildren are even starting to know who you are by the pictures in the stairway.
Steve and Nancy have both been in contact with your old friends and I hope one day that we can learn more about who you were outside of being a great brother and son.

YOU ARE TRULY MISSED!

I want to thank Brooke who posted for my brother. You are absolutely correct in that every soldier should have a remembrance and had I known this site was here, I certainly would have posted earlier.

My brother is truly missed and loved and not a day goes by that his siblings do not think of him. We talk about what it must have been like for him there, with his carefree, happy personality keeping everyone upbeat in the face of horror. (We know this as we have heard directly from those that were there with him).

He was only 19 and led successful missions, as I'm sure alot of men did, but having children now that are in their early 20's helps to understand how young 19 really is!

He is not only a hero to his family, but a hero to his country and the men that served with him. His medals and letters from his fellow soldiers are a verification of this. As a close family, we only wish we knew more... about his time there and the men he served with.

We welcome any contact from anyone who served with Boyd, but also respect the silence if that is your choice and thank you for protecting our freedom!
