Body of Pvt. Floyd V. Alexander, who was killed in service on June 29, 1944, will arrive in Harrisburg tomorrow morning and lie in state Gaskins Funeral Home.He entered army on December 18, 1942 and served in the Twelfth Field Artillery Observation battalion, Battery A. Served at Camp Forrest, Tenn. and Camp Gordon, Ga. He was originally buried in Cambridge American Military Cemetery in England.
Before entering the army, he was employed steel mills in Gary, Ind. Attended HTHS and was member of First Bapt. Ch. of Tullahoma, Tenn. He leaves his mother, Mrs. James Love, Harrisburg, his wife, who has married again, Mrs, James Koster, Gary, Ind.; and a five - year old son, Floyd, Jr.; four bros., whom live in Harisburg: Harry, John, Geroge and Wilburn Alexander; two sisters: Mrs. Loren Parish, Harrisburg and Ina Bridgwater, Chicago.
