Ensign Cranstoun, SPAR, To Wed Ensign Cammann

Engagement To Navy Man From Merrick Announced

Announcement has been made of the engagement of Miss Priscilla Cranstoun, ensign in the SPAR of the U.S. coast guard service, daughter of Mrs. Floyd W. Jefferson of East 88th street, Manhattan and Kenneth D. Cranstoun of Summit, N. J., to Ensign Robert Livingston Cammann of the U.S.N.R., son of Mrs. Edward Crary Cammann of South Merrick avenue, Merrick. The couple expect to marry soon.

Ensign Cranstoun attended Kent Place school and Casa Alta school, Florence, Italy. She is grand-daughter of the late Dr. John W. Maynard, who for many years was president of Monte Mario college, Rome, Italy.

Ensign Cammann attended St. Mark's school and Harvard university. He is a direct descendant of Robert Fulton and of Chancellor Robert R. Livingston. His father, who died in 1936, founded the Merrick public library and a bronze tablet in his memory is in the library building. He also was vestryman of the Merrick Episcopal church of the Redeemer, a church with which the family has long been identified.
