Mr. Sedgwick died in Canton, Illinois on 7-21-2012 while a patient at Graham Hospital.

He is the son of Mr. Ralph J. & Mrs. Mary {Purdy} Sedgwick of Canton, Illinois, and the husband of Mrs. Deborah {Debbie} Shawgo, and they were married in Lewistown, Illinois on October 6, 2005.

His first marriage produced two fine sons, Ralph {Karen} Sedgwick, and Raoul who died in 2001. He does also have two step-children, Scott {Leah} Goforth of Metamora, Illinois, and Miss Tiffany Goforth of Arizona, and several grandchildren, and two sisters, Miss Marie Romine of Canton, and Miss. Suzanne Vickers of South Carolina.

Mr. Sedgwick is a 1967 graduate of Canton Senior High School, and is a 1970 graduate Worsham College of Mortuary Science, and owner & operator of Murphy-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Canton for 26 years until his retiremnt in 1996.
