Arthur Marion Keezer was born in Neligh, Antelope County, Nebraska, USA on Sept 12, 1888. He was the son of Lyman Lawrence Keezer and Lucy Lovina Potter. There were 3 boys and on daughter. The daughter, Minnie died as a young child and Lucy sued for divorce, Lyman ended up with the 3 boys, Arthur, Louis and Alfred. Arthur was "adopted", he says he was taken in and treated as a farm hand and he ran away at 14, according to his children.

After Minnie died, mother disappeared in the Spring of 1894. Father took us 3 boys to Orphans Home at Lincoln, Nebraska. Within two years we were all taken by different people.

I Arthur Marion Keezer in January 1896 was taken to Hayes County Nebraska by William Christner where I stayed until I was 14 years old or 7 years.

Then July 4, 1906 I go get Miss Amy Belle Counce, daughter of George Albert & Florence Alice Counce and took her for a buggy ride which lasted until Oct 21, 1909 where we were married at the Hayes County Court House by Judge E. R. Loomis.

Married in Hayes Count Nebraska and lived on various farms in the same county until approximately 1919 or 1920 when they moved to Hamlet and were associated in the garage business with Amy's father George Counce for a couple of years. They then bought and moved to a farm about 4 miles North of Palisade where they lived for a year or two, then traded farm for property in Palisade. Did not move into Palisade immediatly but rented and lived on a farm North of Palisade for about 3 years, then moved into Palisade where they lived until moving to Montana in 1929.

Went back to Nebraska for the winter of 29-30 also again the winter of 31-32 where Amy's Aunt Mattie or Martha, her Grandmother Lydia and her father George all passed away within a few months of each other.

Moved to Fort Peck and worked on the Fort Peck Dam, while it was being built. After the work was finished on the dam, they moved to the Yakima Valley in Washington. After living there for a couple of years they again bought a farm, this time North of Spokane where the lived until they sold the farm and bought a home in Addy, Washington where they retired in 1947 or 1948. The children were all there for a family reunion to celebrate the couples 50th Anniversary, then in December of the same year Amy Belle passed away.
