Dave P. Evans

22 year old David P. Evans was a former graduate of Lincoln high school and went on to acheive a diploma from Rhode Island College. Before joining the army he worked at a bakery. Once enlisted, he was assigned to be a flight engineerin Vietnam. Unfortunately, he died on May 9, 1970, only five days before his wife gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. I am sorry David never got a chance to know his son; who i know must be very proud of his fathers sacrifice.

You have a son now...

April 9, 1970 you were tragically killed in an attack in South Vietnam. Five days later, April 14, 1970 your son was born in Cumberland, Rhode Island, on the other side of the world. He is thirty now, and has never had the chance to meet you. To never have met my father is something I cannot even conceive in my mind. I'm sure your son thinks of you everyday, and loves you even though he has never met your physical person. He probably sees you as a guardian angel, I know I would. I'll keep you, your son, and your widow in my prayers. May God bless you all.
